About Michael

As a licensed real estate broker, Mykel splits his time between San Francisco and Sonoma Counties, where he works with buyers, sellers, and real estate investors and renovates homes. Mykel is an expert at helping clients approach the purchase of a new home or the sale of their current home with the goal in mind that a home should be a safe, spiritual and sacred place to recharge from a frenetic world while also understanding that a home in California is a financial privilege that can be a vehicle to financial freedom.

In 2010 Mykel co-founded MRM & Associates, a Los Angeles-based broker-to-broker short sale negotiations firm where he established himself as one of the foremost authorities on short sale negotiations. He helped hundreds of distressed short sellers make a new start and trained many of Los Angeles’ elite real estate agents on how to succeed with short sellers, and lenders and navigate the intricate government programs of the time.

As the distressed real estate market began to recover in 2014, Mykel co-founded another successful Los Angeles real estate firm, Lucid West, that specialized in obtaining properties at auction, traditional real estate of working with buyers and sellers, and construction management. Lucid West managed the renovation of 27 luxury properties.

More recently, Mykel has become interested in continuing his work with distressed sellers by working with people who are divorcing and wish to make a new start in life. When not working in real estate, Myke loves to travel to National Parks, hike, spend time with family during holidays and spend time with his giant dog, Evergreen.

Prior to making real estate a full-time profession, Mykel worked in design, photography, and technology, founding an early dot com and helping many companies launch successful 1st and 2nd generation websites. Mykel graduated from Boston University where he also attended graduate school.

Mykel grew up in Philadelphia where his interest in real estate was first sparked by a beloved uncle whom he helped renovate his new home during the summer before attending high school. From carpentry to electrical and design to fixtures, the experience was life-changing. Since that time, nothing has felt more important to Mykel than “home”.
